Keep your lock-up converter. As for deciding what stall to get, I'd get a quality one. Look for good used deals out there. I bought my built AODE with a Precision Industries stall converter for $400. When picking the proper stall, you want one that is between 400-600rpm of your cam's starting operating range. WHen I threw in the PI converter with the STOCK cam, the car ran terrible. It was sooo slow. It took me all summer to figure the problem. So, I found the PI stall speed(2800rpm) and picked the TFS Stg-1 cam(operating rpm 2200-6000rpm). The car ran great with this cam.

stay with lock up. the reason for going with non lockup is when you have enough hp to need a one piece input shaft. non lock up converters run hotter, get worse mpg and will cause your engine rpms to be higher while cruising.
