Help please...need some opinions
Ok so im about to start building my first "race car" and i need some opinions if at all possible. Im lookin into a 1993 mustang but i wanted to know if there was another year that was better or easier to do modifications to before i do purchase this car. Thoughts?

you are going to hear alot of people start barking about the hypereutectic pistons, and how the 93 made less HP... blah blah blah.
foxes are pretty much all the same, with regards to ease of modifications. the 86-88(except cali 88's) were speed density, which most people convert to run on MAF. The 93 already has this from the factory.
The greatest downfall of the fox mustang (aside from being ugly as sin) is the price that you will find them for. Fox owners think their cars are made of gold. The problem is that they are not really anything special, will fall apart on you, generally rust to death (read:Rustang) and have some pretty craptastic brakes.
However, there is hope! 94-95 were the last years of the 5.0, and it came wrapped up in a sexy *** body! They are NO DIFFERENT to modify. MOST of the same parts will fit.
The 94-95's can generaly be found in better shape, with fewer miles, and for less money. They also have a kick-*** interior!

If it's going to be a "Race Car" any Fox body is OK. The only thing you'll be using is the body itself. Buy Cheap and rust free, build it then throw on a slick paint job and go racing.

Wonder why that is? Maybe the same reason 73-74 Chevelles are cheaper that 72's. It's all about what it can be and not what it was. It's all about what you want. I never liked the 94-98's but really liked the 99-04.
