An aluminum driveshaft does sound like it would be next on the list. I would try and do what fivepointoh did and find an aerostar driveshaft and swap the ends. It would save you some money at least.

thats a really good idea thanks for the input. if i save money i can buy more stuff. any recommendations on a driveshaft safety loop?

^^Thats what I would do personally. Thats what I was going to do with my motor mounts but someone never got back to me with the dimensions ......ahem.....Justin.......still waiting.......

if i were you i wouldnt buy any trans related parts saying you dont kno the spline of the output shaft of whichever trans you buy. what i would do is buy some brake lines and a master cylinder/manual brake conversion, fiberglass dash and guages since your pulling the interior out, or after bivins is done paint the underhood area. after suspension get the false trunk built for fuel cell/battery. just my .2 cents since the parts show up at my house and all.... you never know i might keep them and build me a car wiht it all
