Default Headlight scratch remover?

I left my brand new foglights sitting in the back too long, and they have light scratches all over them =/.

Anyone know of a good product to remove light scratches from em?

I've heard of people wet sanding headlights and what not with really fine sandpaper, probably like 1500 or so and then buffing them back up to a shine. Maybe someone else with actual experience can chime in too.

Walmart can do them for about 40 dollars. You can also buy a kit from autozone. Just ask a customer rep, they'll help you out.
