Default can a sensor be bad and not throw a code?

can a sensor, MAF, IAC, 02 etc... be bad or dead and not throw a code?

still having trouble with my stang, didnt get a chance to replace the 02s today, I did get to the EGR position sensor, that took 20 mins, but then I got sidetracked...

adding to my symptoms, on top of the poor idle and stalls on cold starts, when the engine is cold, and you push in the clutch while slowing down, the engine bogs down and it feels like there are no brakes, like the vacuum/booster is lost?

the last thing I want to do is take this thing to a shop... I mean, I know how to perform your typical engine maitenance, but i feel like I am beyond my skill here..

thats the only thing I have trouble with is tracking down the vac. leaks... I heard there is a smoke test? how do you do that?

I gotta look up how to reset the idle...

I mean, the car has been tripping code 33 since I bought it, but its never hurt anything and the car has run fine. then code 41 springs up (running lean) and now its a mess of trouble...
I'm just hoping my MAF is not bad or something

Have you checked your fuel pressure? I know when I have my pressure turned down a little low, like 36 or 37 lbs it would be hard to start when cold. Changed your fuel filter lately?

BTW, code 33 is ok, it just disables to EGR function. My car has it too, but I want it cus I deleted all the emission stuff.

honestly, I never have checked my fuel pressure, I have a 255 walbro pump, got it brand new really cheap, so I know Ive got fuel and plenty of it, I dont know how to check my pressure, I did my fuel filter last year, but since then Ive gotten a new tank and the new pump (my old one was leaky and rusty...

as much as I hated changing the damn thing, next time its nice out I'll do it again...

there is a fitting on the fuel line near the alternator, need to put a gauge on it there

I'll have to look it up/ask the sales rep at summit.

what should fuel pressure be on a EFI 5.0? stock fuel pressure regulator, 19lb injectors...

I have not touched anything regarding the fuel system, save for the tank/pump/filter
