Default Code Reader

Allright got a code reader to check the eec....when i hook it up to do a koeo test it wont sync w/eec...i tried it on my father-in-laws 94 5.0 f150 and it took right off, so i know its good..cant get it to work on mine..i am 100% sure i have it hooked up right, i have tried an ohm meter...wouldnt work..i have also tried the test light to no avail...i believe the probs with my rebuild might be eec related now and was wondering if you can give me some things to isolate this issue..Is there wiring i can check.......Thanks.....Jamie

Use a test light, instead of installing the jumper wire between the STI and SIGRTN terminals at the VIP connector..... use a jumper wire from the STI terminal to a good ground (frame or battery (-) terminal) as explained in this DIY KOEO/KOER self test writeup. LUK

Kyle and I have tried that...we did follow your diagram and tried the test light, ohm meter and all...are there wires that run from the eec to the test port that i can check for high opens or faults on the wire itself from the eec to the test port? If so do you know what position in the eec harness runs to the test ports? So i can test those .....thanks

Ok checked plugs...all plugged in..verified the wiring from eec to sti and test connector individually, all wiring is ok from eec no shorts or opens....tried every hookup on the koeo test and no go??? dang its upsetting to have this problem and not finding the trouble.....What now? New EEC?..........Jamie
