I gotta run but ill be back....ran a koer test because my car seemed to be slacking...My OBD tester first checks for # of cylinders under test before all tests and it came back 6....wtf? Why? Also the only code i could come up with that seemed out of place was 94....Well where do i start for the 6cyl issue?..Thanks all, Jamison
hey quick question i was running my actron obdi scanner on my 91 5.0 and kept getting a connection error after each test and it would ask me to restart or no im lost =(
Set the scanner aside, run it using a test light and check how many flashes it outputs when it is initiated. The problem may be a scanner problem....BTSTDT. BTW.... the engine cylinders ID code is an informational code, not a failure code. LUK
could it ID 6 cylinders and there not be a problem? i ask because ive been helping jamie with this car and it runs just fine...(accept for the transmission )
Well besides that i did a koer and had a few codes like the thermactor crap that i removed but i noticed my total timing is not changing from my base timing.....got any idea why?

if your total timing does not change from the base timing set with the spout removed, then you could have a broken SPOUT wire between the distributor and ECM
keith, the total timing changes when you plug in the spout...but only like 2-6 degrees. not 20 like it should. still think it could be spout wiring is bad?
