New '88 T-Top GT Ebay- Help Me Out
Well i tried to get the red one that is on ebay, but the seller won't come off the $3900 buy it now and i agree with the board that it is more of a $3k car. i almost got a chubby though when i did a search and saw this one for a couple reasons....the obvious being the price. cheap enough my wife won't care and also cheap enough i can throw some money into it and not feel bad. i had planned on an all black interior with black leather seats anyways so a shotty interior makes it easier for me to rip it all out and not feel bad doing it. i was already going to go with either a cowl hood or mach hood so i guess the decision would already be made and saves another couple hundred dollars. plus i prefer fuel injection over carborated any day. does anyone happen to have a carfax account that could look it up for me. i appreciate all the input and help from the other members who clearly know way more than i do.
thanks in advance,
caleb

that's a really good looking vert. i agree the 2600 is a lot more than it's worth. my goal is to try and get it for around $1500. to me it would be great as long as there is no rot to the body. i plan on gutting the interior and a paint job is definite down the line. really all i was looking for was a running '88 gt, had to be a manual and have t-tops with minimal body work so this may be a good fit for me. i want to check a carfax first though to make sure everything checks out. i did notice he has 0 for the mileage.

well i think it's way worth it.
since t-tops were never offered '88, only afew hundred were made. just what was ordered b4 they stopped doing them... that alone is a big money thing for collectability
it's NOT an AOD, so add $1000 value for that (or knock off $1000 value if you bought an AOD car)
i didn't look too hard but if i was in the market i'd buy it
