Question Question between 2 cold air intakes

Ok there's 2 CAI i was looking at on American muscle, http://www.americanmuscle.com/bbk-co...ake-86-93.html, and http://www.americanmuscle.com/kn-cai-8993v8.html. Now the second one is just a filter but is just as expensive as the BBK which comes with piping. I'm just wondering the pros and cons 2 each, thanks guys!

its a F'ing tube that leads air into your intake. do yourself a favor, go on ebay, buy a generic one for 40 bucks...looks the same and does the same thing.

You want something that is not open to the engine air, preferably. The hot engine air will tend to mess w the induction.

The first one is what you want.

What do u run right now? Do you run a mass air?

I run a mass air into the stock air filter box, but Ive got a K&N air filter. I see no real difference b/n this and the cai that goes into the fender.

Either keep the stock intake and plug in a K&N and remove the air silencer. Or you can do what everyone else said and buy an el cheapo Ebay one. I ran an ebay one for three years with no problems. But the aluminum intakes do not bring in cold air. Infact, they make the air warmer versus the plastic. Think of it this way, after you drive the car, which do you think will be cooler: the plastic or aluminum?

The reason why BBK is more expensive than ebay ones is because it is CARB legal. In California if you are pulled over with ebay one you get a Modified vehicle ticket and a referee trip. With BBK cops can't do anything.

One of the local Honda kids piped his intercooler with PVC then painted it black to try and disguise the fact that it was PVC.
