Brake question?

Brake question?
i am finishing up switching my fox brakes to sn95 brakes, do you guys know which caliper hose will work for my rear calipers so they can connect to my hardlines in the rear? i have tried stock sn 95's but they did not work. any advice would be appreciated thanks mike

Did you modify your rear hardlines? Not only do you have to cut the line short but also change the fitting. I'm using 94-95 sn95 cobra lines with NO problem, flawless assembly. They should be the same as stock sn95 lines but I don't know.

lines
i have not cut the line or changed the fitting, how much did you cut and what size fitting did you put on? i assume sn95 but i do not know what size they are? also dumb question is there a specific tool to cut brake lines? thanks for your help mike

Well my lines were pre bent. If you have the sn95 hoses, drill the holes in the lower control arm mount for the flex hose bracket and alignment tab, then mount the hose. Use that as a template to cut your brake line, which can be done with basically any cutting tool, as long as you get an even cut. You will have to double flare the end of the tubing after putting the correct fitting on. I don't know the correct fitting size, but take your hard line and the brake hose to a hardware store, get a fitting that matches your hard line diameter and hose thread size.
Here's a pic of the bracket I am talking about as well as the correct line set up. Make sure when bending the line you do not kink them. The ford mounting brackets and hoses are basically the same, these are the StopTech braided hoses. I've got both sets, lol.

Well, I used a torch to cut my lower control arms in half when I removed the old rearend... I just torched the brake cables, too.
For the disc set up you have to modify your parking brake assembly and install different brake cables to make the parking brake work properly. There's no need to take them out gently....

haha
yeah i have the new cables for the discs, i will take your advice and use force of some sort to get those bastards out, there is a clip holding them in place that i tried to be nice to and remove and it did not cooperate so now i will go with brute force! thanks for your help mike

Woah woah, wait a minute. Are you referring to the clip that holds the lines to the body in front of the rear wheels? You will need to reuse those for the new lines. Do not break them. If you mean the clip holding it to the drum brake hardware... by all means give it hell.
