Well tonight i went to back out of the driveway and leave and i couldnt get the car in reverse without it grinding. I got out and adjusted the clutch and finally got it to go in but then when i started driving it felt like it was harder to shift. Then after driving it for 30 miles or so i couldnt get it in reverse again. Anyone have any ideas whats causing this?
I am having a similar problem. If im backing into a parkin spot it wont go into reverse it will just grind, so I have to put it in 5th then down into reverse and it will work. When the car is off it is real hard to put it into reverse too. Also when I try to shift fast or at high rpms from 1st to 2nd it will grind and not go in, but when i just shift normally it will work. Dont mean to hack your thread but the reverse problem sounds about the same
its because reverse doesnt hace an syncro. From what iv read most of our trannys will do this. Just put it into 5th gear then slide it back into reverse and it should slide right in with ease.
my TKO600 did that too, even after the rebuild... First also works, Just put it into gear and put it right into revers and ou will be fine..... unlss you would liketo buy a tko600
Im still having no luck solving the problem by adjusting the clutch, but a friend thought that the input shaft may be getting stuck in the pilot bearing. Any thoughts on this?
