Well this isnt a very exciting swap but it is for me because it will be my first. I have been looking for a roller engine for a while and found one out of a 92 for $150.
I plan on picking it up soon and building it up in my garage. Not looking for a ton of power mainly because I dont have the money for aluminum heads and that restrictes me alot. I plan on just tearing it down laying new gaskets and rings. Anything else I should do? I know it needs new lifters and I will put new pushrods in but anything else to save me trounble down the road?
I am going to go carb'd since thats what my current engine is.

Also I was wondering if anyone has a tried and true GT40 combo I could use? I am hoping on picking up a set of GT40's and was wondering what cam and intake compliments them. I currently have a performer 289 intake and the cam in the 92 engine is stock. Thanks ahead of time guys
