i have a 1990 mark vii with a 5.0L. well the other day i was on my way home and car turns off out of the blue!! i tried to turn it back on but it would just crank over but didnt start. so i had it pushed to a near by gas station. and i trid to crank it back up and it did! so i kept driving it and it turns off again..
some how the coil does not put out spark to the distributur so i replaced it.. still didnt work.. i took the TFI to get it checked and it was fine.. i still replaced it with a new one.. but then it cranked up.. then out of the blue the alternator went bad so i replaced it.. next day i had the same problem.. keeps turning over but wont start.. its not a fuel problem.. i got power going to the injectors.. its the second coil i replace cause somehow they overheat and smoke up!! thanks
