I've heard the 88' mustang gt has forged pistons. does anyone know what is forged and is not and would it be safe to run boost?

The pistons were forged up until '93. The crank and rods may be forged but IDK for sure. You can run boost no problem. If you have an HCI in addition to boost, then you may be approaching the limits of stock equipment.

The pistons are forged but the rods and crank are not. With a good tune boost or nitrous ins't too much of a problem. At about 500+ whp the blocks have a tendency to split though.
