Exhaust Question

Exhaust Question
I am looking for a meaner/louder/rumble sound other than my stock exhaust. I was thinking about the flowmaster 40 seriers. Is there a big diffrence doing the cat back package vs. just doing the mufflers?

i had short equal length headers with a completly modified motor and a bone stock catback. i gutted the cats and it was louder than stock, still had a mean sound b/c of the cam.
I now have a better modified motor with longtubes, 3in H pipe and 3in Magnaflow magnapacks (stright through) and its much louder than stock and sounds very good, no exhaust pop what so ever.
if you get on photobucket.com and search deer_hunter132, go to the user's album, you will see how it sounds for both setups. if it shows the stock hood, its the old setup. if its a white cowl hood, its the new setup.

you dont need the catback...just the mufflers will do, alot of people dont like flowmaster because alot of mustangs are running flowmasters..well that might tell you somethings..flowmaster are they way to go, or mac exhaust

Idle clip, dont mind the rocker noise, that was from the intake rockers having too much lash. Its been described as a baffled opened header'ed sound, all the guys that have heard it like it alot. I like it; it has no pop, sounds mean, its not robbing power and the exhaust is light, thats what matters to me.
Now if you lived in a subdivision that people gripe alot, my car would probably **** them off early in the morning or late at night.
