When I bought my car, I was informed that it was a twin turbo car that was converted back to a stock 5L, so I expected a few things to be wrong.

I didn't, however, in my journey of a carb swap, expect to find a computer labeled 3.0L Taurus/Sable Only. It's an EEC-IV, like normal, but this thing ran like a raped ape with a 3.0L computer in it.

Wouldn't all the strategies be different?

 

my buddy bought an 87 gt and it had a 3.0 computer from a taurus and had a chip in it for an 87 mustang with an auto tranny.the car is a 5 speed and it ran damn good.then we pulled the motor out of his mass air car and swapped it all over,thats when we discovered the computer and we were like wtf.

I know right lol. That guy knows a lot about the programming and tuning of EFI. You don't see him on here all that much.
