I know a guy that went electric and got an aftermarket catch can and another guy remounted the stock shroud they both had different fans than the other needless to say.

good question, I was thinking of going electric too but, I like the sensor in the overflow that tells when the coolant is low.

before the turbos i just mounted the stock over flow to the efan. with the turbos in, there was no room for the stock over flow so no i just use a 16oz bottle of water ziptied to the efan shroud. ghetto i know but it works and tech never says anything

ok I'm at a loss. The car has been running hot since I took it to the track the other night.I messed with the timing a little bit at the track, but then decreased it monday after I drove it to work and it ran hot on me.yesterday I drove it to work but it didn't run hot but it came close,so last night I put my e-fan on it.I have both high and low settings hooked up,anyways I took it for a drive this morning and it's still running hot,I decreased the timing a little bit more, but still the same thing. The only other thing I have done to it since I went to the track is put the 3g on it.now with that being said would having the stock 3g pulley on it make the belt turn any slower and that could be contributing to the car running hot or does anyone think it could be my t-stat(less than 4 months old)or my water pump(about a year and 1/2 old)

WHen I had my Proform fan in the car it came with a straight bar that mounted to the driverside radiator holes. The factory bottle then mounted to that bar.

I've since reversed everything back due to heat issues, with a stock fan shroud, stock fan and the DSO police issue fan clutch and it runs cool as a cucumber now.
