Howdy, new to the forum, but quite happy to have reason to be here .

Need to replace my speedo cable, 89 GT 5-speed w/cruise. I'll crawl under ther car when the garage isn't 17 degrees, but I'm told the 76" is what i need, versus the 72".

Aside from the pain of removing the gauge cluster, if any one has any lessons-learned from this or even which cable is proper, I'd love to hear it.

I may have answered my own question. Googled a few things and it appears the 76" is without cruise, 72" is with cruise.

 

they go in pretty good but its a pain getting it through the firewall.i used some metal wire and tied it around one end to pull it through
