Default Little input on a 347 build

Well like most on here I am a baller on a budget. I have been contemplating switching to a 351w block for some time and have decided I need to save those pennies and put them else where. I have decied to stay with my stock block and build a 347 and I want to go carbed. I am tired of messing with the efi. Carbed is less street friendly but then again I am not going to build a 500 hp car. This is going to be my daily driver. I am wanting a torque street monster with maybe a 2-3 track times a year. My main question is what are the most popular combos for making 400hp. I definantly want a minimum of 400. I figure that is over double what my car has now and is a great foundation to start with. I have never owned a really crazy fast cars put am used to power so 400 is not to crazy. What head and cam and carb are recommended. I definatly want that redical cam sound. What size headers and maybe even exhuast is recomended. I run spintechs dumped at the axles now.

I have suspension pretty well mapped out, but what would you guys say I do to the tranny to help it handle the power. Its a t5 also. As for fuel system I am aware of the changes that are needed to go carb, but what fuel pump and etc is recommended to support 400 hp.

Also I just recently found out about the mexican blocks. How much do they go for and what are the advantages of them. Where would I go to get one? My budget is about 10k also.

supercharge your stock block and be done with it, no need for a stroker

Well the guy I bought the car from did a crap job of caring for the car so little things like wiring are messed up and some parts are new and some arent. So its one of those things where its better to just start over. Plus I want to build a car myself.

no not really^^^^^^get the car running right then mod it, the worst thing you can do is start modding a car that isn't running up to par cause then you won't know if it's the mod causing a prob or an underlying issue

I know what the problems are or I wouldnt know I had a problem. I just dont feel like going through the hassle of wasting money to get the car to a state where I still want more power. I am wanting more power so I figure I can get ride of the efi electrical, stroke the motor and have fun.

Pretend I am not having problems with the car and just want a 347. Combos please?

the 351w swap will cost you less money.

and I honestly dont think a 347DD is all too wise.
