Default suggestions for fuel pump please...

I have an 89 GT vert stang and the fuel pump is whining VERY loud. It obviously needs replacement. My question is I plan on doing a H/C/I and exhaust install to the car in the future. Will a stock OEM replacement pump work just fine, or should i get a higher pound due to the mods? I dont plan on modding it as soon as i get the pump, so i need a pump that can do a stock engine set up that I can run right now AND handle a mildly modified engine in the future.

Im looking at this pump by BBK. Seem about right?

Recommend upgrading the injectors as well? For a cam, i plan on running a b303 or e303 if that matters at all in making my decision.

Sorry for the noob questions...new to modifying mustangs. Ill probably be asking more before and as the modifying is underway.

i hope to eventually have it sound like this...

or this...depending...

I would use a 155 pump. right now I have a 255 (should have used a 155) and all I have done is bigger mas airflow and 24lb inj. cold air, exhaust, 70mm throttle body and headers. The 110 will be fine put u might need more in the future and it shouldn't effect anything.

Are BBK pumps direct fit with the OEM fuel pump assembly ? When I replaced mine, the one I got from the store first didn't fit the assembly (I bought it before I pulled the pump, so had no idea of how the OEM one looks).

255 pump

/thread

you have a return style duel systme. just get the big one, it hardly cost anymore than the smaller ones and this way you are not limited to you fuel pump if you go boosted later on or whatever you plans may be in the futuer.

IMO find better cams than those letter cams, outdated technology. buy heads before anything else.

I've heard BBKs are abit bigger, idk why, Walbro makes theirs, and OEM is made by Walbro too. Mine slipped in looked just like the factory.

The GSS340 is the same thing as the Holley forced induction pump. It is a good pump for a supercharger.
