hey guys i just got some mac shorty headers off a buddy for free. just wondering if they are worth the hassle of install. they would be goin on a mostly stock 88 5.0 aod. only other mods are mac flowpatchs, o/r h, and cai. will the headers even help with stock heads and intake?

i also got a 65mm t/b, can i put that on running a stock size maf?

 

Any headers are worth putting on over your stock shortys and installing shortys is a cake walk.

 

it is still going to be a shorty header though

I wouldn't spend the time to put them on a stock motor unless I had an exhaust leak

yeah you can install the tb and the car still run fine. It is ideal for them to match or the maf to be larger
