Rat Rod?
looking for input on this new project that was just handed to me. I own a all original 31 model A rumble seat model with 327.7 hrs on the original motor mint condition no rust at all im the second owner my grandfather was the original owner. I just got back from sema with my partner/sponsor and he wants to use the car to turn it into a rat rod to show off our Flathead part of the buisness. We would be getting free parts from Moon, Edelbrock, Stromberg, Isky, etc. But I really don't want to chop the car up and turn it into a rat rod just to have a flathead in it. I was thinking a 302 because then the car would have some decent power and I wouldn't have to worry about blowing the flat head up because of it only having 3 mains.
So im looking for some ideas into what we could build that would show off a lot of after market parts but not make a ton of power that its going to destroy the 78 year old frame.
so what do you guys think
289,302?
Blown, Methanol?
As of now the flathead we have sitting around is a 298 stroker, an Isky 404 cam, edelbrock heads, Hilborn indvidual cylinder injection tuned for methanol. but it only puts out 270 horsepower. So let me hear your ideas

Did the car originally have a flathead v8 in it? If not you might need to cut the firewall to fit it within the fenders. I know most of the time in 39+ you'll find chevy motors in em just cuz it almost seems like they were built for the car. My ex girlfriends dad owned a '32 ratrod which was cool, but he also had 305 in it...BOO!
