I agree completely I did the same search a year or so ago.
Most of the the items in my list and looks like your list also were probably posted by
Speeds8erM-1 and that is why in my 3rd and 4th line down I said ;

And things I’ve added to that list.

I think they started using the heavier GT seats in the 89 5.0 LX models.
Mine has the original no frills 4 cyl seats and manual windows but power locks.

well to save almost 20-30 lbs I may just switch out seats,and might even leave the passenger seat out for the race track

my "sport" seat's which are supposed to be the heavyest they put in the 5.0's because of the knee support's and the hole deal where 53lbs!

I now have 1994 GT seat's in the car and they are 43lb's if i remember right.

Hopefully im remembering the weight's right, but it's been a while sence i weighed my stock one's, and they are long gone now.

If you can get some racing seat's, you can save 30-50lb's pretty easy!

I pulled out the passenger seat a few time to race, but it just felt odd, and it felt stupid running "slow" with no seat in the car anyway.

well the guy I'm suppose to be racing has a better 1/8 mi. than I do in my 85(and he did that with 2:73's)but he' hasn't run the 1/4 that many times.Idk if it was because he wasn't spinning as much or what but I'll have my upr upper adj. on the car by fri. night and just haven't decided if i want to change out the seats yet
