Default Valve Spring Help

I dont know much bout valve springs I dont know total lift and all that was just told I should upgrade my springs. i have AFR heads with the factory .550 max lift springs. I am going with a comp cams XE270HR-14 cam and 1.7 roller rockers. So do i need to upgrade my springs? Comp cams has 2 recommended springs for $70 here is what they have if i need springs which ones?

what else what I need do I need retainers and locks?

springs, retainers and locks , if your afr heads have locators already you can reuse those, all locators do is give the spring a hard seat to rest on which all OTB aluminum heads should have

so if I was buying brand new would I be better off with the 986 or the 987 thanks
