id take it out and throw it away.i dont use it

That's what I did. I made a little aluminum braket to hold my nitrous arming switch, bottle heater switch, and purge button

not to keep you guys buying this kit from spending your money but why dont you just take the center console up where the door is, like the kit makes you do anyways. take the door where the little nipple brakes off and drill it out and put a screw with washers and a lock nut there?i mean you have to do the same with the kit anyways this way just saves you the cost of the kit and you pay like 50 cent for parts.

i just fixed my brothers ashtray lid.took about 5 mins to do.just had to drill one hole and put a bolt in it.

most of the time it is the spring that fails, or the plastic underneath cracking. inferior materials, and a poorly designed spring mechanism

but after fixing mine with that kit, the door stays firmly shut, even bumps in the road dont pop it open.

not bad considering my door, even the ashtray itself was missing when I bought the car
