Default Helmet

So where did you guys buy yours? I just read earlier that at my track if you run faster than 13.99 they are required. So I need to be looking into getting one.

Got mine from Summit. It is a full face motorcycle helmet. You def need on, most places are very strict about that policy and for good reason.

I understand using helmets and all, but I think requiring one for a 13 second car is a bit much. The track in portland requires a driveshaft loop too for 13.99 and faster. Dumb.

13second car is hitting around a 100 at the end of the track, you dont think losing control and slamming into the wall at those speeds is dangerous?

I have driven much faster (legally in Germany) without wearing a helmet. If you believe the street/strip section, guys do much faster that that on the streets and I doubt they are wearing a helmet. No, I dont think driving in a straight line at 95-105 mph is really all that dangerous. Is there a possiblity to lose it, yeah, of course there is. But I dont think it needs to be a requirement at those speeds.

hitting 100mph in 13 seconds is ALOT more different then going 150 in 60 seconds
