Default sn95 side scoop question?

Does your mustang have these scoops drilled out? and if they are drilled out do they have a vent on the backside of them?

my 96 GTS has the vents drilled out, and does NOT have a vent on the backside.
my 95 GTS has the vents drilled out, but DOES have a vent on the backside.

what does yours have???

its just weird, because my 98 GT doesnt have the scoops drilled, and has no vents, same with my brothers 96 vert v6. and its weird both my GTS's have drilled scoops, but only one of them has a vent to the rear tire behind it....

one, there technically wasn't a GTS in '96.

two, 96 and newer don't have vents on the backside and most aren't drilled on the front either.

It does look pretty sweet when the smoke rolls out during a burnout though

only the 94-95 has the functional brake cooling scoops. there was a kit briefly available with a duct to go from that vent to the disc/caliper but I only saw a few advertised and never actually used.

I also agree that smoke comming out of them looks cool. I always hated the way they almost complete blend into the dark colors though. I made a polished stainless bezel to go on it to help it draw a littel bit of attention with out screaming too loudly, made one for the holes in the hood as well.

i did notice the vent directs the air downwards basically anyways.... its not like the vents in the trunk to allow the excess pressure inside to escape and those have rubber flaps. this one is just solid plastic. so who knows.. Ford probably thought it to be a good idea when the sn95's were introduced, and decided they didnt do **** and saved money by takin em out... lol
