This hoist sounds like a pile of ****. What happens when you work on a big car?

How long is the boom and legs?

AHH HA..i SEE.........anyway, what I'd do if the end is open on the tube where the chain is, is I'd go get a square piece of metal piping and drill it appropriately and extend the length to what you need and redrill the piece you buy to accept the chain on the end, you have a small china mans harbor frieght hoist

Check any muscle mustang or 5.0 mustang, they have a 20% off coupon and right now the 2 ton hoists are on sale.
I have a 2 ton,its not a harbor freight hoist, but it looks about the same as,it all folds up and stores easily. Mine worked great for pulling my motor. It has a long extension on it too.
