Engine hoist wont reach! help!!

Im not sure if theres something im doing wrong, but you can see the chain bearly reached the front of the engine. what am i doing wrong?

AHH HA..i SEE.........anyway, what I'd do if the end is open on the tube where the chain is, is I'd go get a square piece of metal piping and drill it appropriately and extend the length to what you need and redrill the piece you buy to accept the chain on the end, you have a small china mans harbor frieght hoist

I have a 2 ton,its not a harbor freight hoist,but it looks about the same as,it all folds up and stores easily. Mine worked great for pulling my motor.It has a long extension on it too.
