Default engine swap?

am i able to pretty much swap any 5.0 engine i want into my 84 5.0 or is there specific years of other mustangs that have 50 that would fit in my engine bay and onto my tranny? and if not could i put like a 5.4 out of an f150 for more power?

...All 5L's will bolt in...I'd look for a '85-92 H.O. Block with a roller cam and forged pistons...Also, the '87-93 T-7 heads are the best stock style...

You need to keep it carbed, no EFI. Buy yes, any year can go in.......

you COULD put a 5.4l in your car.. but you wont necessarily make more power

I still havent seen any non FI 5.4's make the power my 5.6 does

for carbed applications any 85-92 would be a decent choice

I like both, but it will be easier for you to stay carbed as that is where you're at now. If you like the idea of FI then feel free, but there will be extra work cut out for you.

not everyone is anti efi... I just leave the old farts and idiots alone... let them use their antiquated equipment. its about 6°F outside, and my EFI stang will start and drive with NO problems... lets see half the carb cars on this site do that
