Mercron V is synthetic. Good stuff. You should usually listen to adder, he knows what he's talking about.
I think they came with Mercron III originally. I'm going to put Mercron V in mine when I get it back from being overhauled.
Isn't it about 2.5qts? I can't get to my owners manual at the moment.

Okay Mercon ATF. Is that similar to Mercon 5?

ATF = Automatic Transmission Fluid.

Yes, Mercron V is a synthetic fluid used in the newer vehicles.

i went through this before and mercon 3 is what i used. have 10,000 on the fluid change and no problems what so ever. i didnt understand what it took ATF either but i chose to just listen to adder.
