just a lil disappointed the cheapest 1 3/4 LT into 3" collector are race tuned hooker headers.


i dont wanna pay 800 for kooks headers. lol


right now i'm trying to collect all the info i can on tuning stuff. right now i'm debating but quarterhorse is sounding good to me.

Sounds like your going to build a modern Boss 302, big heads and alot of RPM. Good luck man.

I've always told myself that when I do my head/cam swap I'm going to post over at SBFT so that can get my ideas pulled through the ringer by Jay and such. You think you know alot about our motors till you head over there and feel like a child who just started driving.

how about i suggest you start reading now.


i went over there for 8 hours one day, reading non stop, and didnt come with my head screwed on straight. that place will blow your effin mind.

so buy a set of mac's and chop the collector off and put a 3in on it.. thats what im going to do..

I paid 550 for my hooker headers that didnt fit worth a crap.. buy the macs

I know man, I'm a member there but I just lurk. Your right though, half of everything I have ever been told is contradicted on that site. It's a very valuable tool.

its not uncommon really. solid roller cam, link bar lifters and proper valvetrain geometry. lots of those guys are up in the 7kish range. one guy spins 10k on his 302 and runs 9.6's
