really sounds lick strut mounts . if you jack the car up from somewhere other then the suspension and watch the top of the struts does the bolt on the top of the strut move down as the suspension has the weight taken off it? hope that makes sense

^ I have heard of people with the tire wear problem before. Just rotate them and you will be fine.

My guess is going to be the strut mounts or struts. Usually, when sway bar endlinks go bad, they will squeek. Same too with the sway bar bushings that are located in the middle of the sway bar. To me, the vid seems to sound like something is binding.

Did you do the quick test of pushing down on the front of the vehicle to see how many times it bounces? If you bounch it 3 times, it should settle within 2. Also, check the struts for oil leakage. Ford does have a TSB on noisey struts where they are told to lubricated the strut with additional oil on the struts shaft.

The last check i would do is look at the coil spring. It will be the linear type so check for coil bindings, cracks or damages.

My current suspension and chassi professor is a Ford Tech for the past 25 years so when i see him again Tuesday, ill have to ask him if he knows of any issues with the Focus's suspension wise.

Also, if you want to check the sway end links and bushing, just lubricate them with wd40 and see if the noise goes away during driving. If it does, well theres your answer. Thats how we road test some vehciles when we have customer complaints of suspension issues.

ive pretty much looked over everything and cant find anything wrong at all.

Ive been told the end link's are not as cut and dry and yanking on them to see if they bind or make noise, that you have to basically hold one, while someone shakes the car.

my guess its the endlinks, or the strut bushing.

I just went out there and had the girlfriend shake the car while I had my car on the sway bar end link........ I could feel the clunk in the sway bar link, but NOT in the spring or strut....... guess I found the issue
