Default 94 5.0 Headers

Couple of questions about headers for my 94 5.0. First question is it even worth it? haha. I just put my OR H-pipe and AT Flows on there and the sounds is perfect. How much would aftermarket headers change the sound? The volume of the sound doesn't really matter as long as it won't get drastically more quiet. I'm sure I can find some cheap used shorties just wondering would it be worth it? Anyone dynoed such a miniscule piece before and after?

the new headers wont make an overwhelming difference on a stock motor (like yours) but its nice to already have them for the day you decide to put heads/cam/intake on.

So probably not worth it...my biggest concern was it changing the way the exhaust sounds. Right now it's just my beater car until the Cobra gets back running again. I had to have a nice exhaust and this is by far the best sounding exhaust of the 4 GT/Cobras I've owned.

Throw these cheap headers on: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G9076/ I run them on my car and for $100 they're worth it. The only problem with them is the #4 spark plug wire. It's a tight fit.

You like the current sound and you need to get the Cobra fixed so why spend time and money on it? Fix the Cobra.

Can't breathe, can't dump-exhaust. Will go in and out better. Will help but will not pin you in the seat.

i can sell you my summit shorties, ceramic coated for 190 shipped. looks brand new.

little difference over stock headers but very minor. stock headers needed to be replaced since the day they rolled onto the showroom floor.

best bet is get 1 3/4 LT's 3 " collector, 3" straight tubes into a flow through muffler dumped. that'll net you some power. cost ya a little coin up front but will make all the difference when you upgrade....just know that set up is louder than hell.

This was just for future mods. When taxes come in I should have some left over from buying the engine and other needed parts and wanted to see if I should even bother with the headers.
