low pressure/volume... start by replacing your fuel filter, and buying a fuel pressure gauge

if you have spark that comes and goes, typically in these cars it is NOT the coil...

usually the PIP in the distributor, followed by the TFI module on the passenger fenderwell

Everything AdderMk2 said in his post is correct. Unfortunately, he missed my attempt at some humor. Perhaps if he reads my post more carefully, he will see that I agreed with mjr46 about the pressure gauge.

That said, a split second push of that valve will tell you IF you have a pressurized fuel rail. How much pressure? Have no idea which is why the pressure gauge is the way to go.

Still, pressing the schrader valve down for a split second is enough to cause a fire if your stupid enough to this on a hot engine...

And heres a TFI and PIP testing procedure

Spraying hot headers with fuel is indeed a fire hazard. But that is not the situation here. Go back and read the original post in this thread. He can't even get the car started. Therefore, no hot engine. But this is all moot since you and Adder have pointed out that his problem is probably PIP or TFI related.

Lawyers are here on earth to protect the stupid from themselves. Chainsaws have warnings not to grab the running saw by the moving chain. Why? Because someone out there will probably do it then sue.
