Default Computer Question

For some reason when I try to pull codes my KOER wont respond. It says please connect scan tool even though it is connected. KOEO works fine and I can pull codes. KOER worked before.

Would this be a result of a bad computer, bad sensor/wiring, or something else? How can I go about finding the source of the problem?

What codes are showing up in the KOEO self test? If you have code 67 (for example) the KOER self test will not run until that KOEO failure code is corrected. LUK

Oh, interesting. What is code 67? I can't remember what codes I pulled but I think they were mainly resulting from removal of theremastor/thermactor/egr crap.

Code 67, simplified, is the system detecting the transmission as not being in neutral. BTW.... that is just one case, there are other fault codes that will not allow the KOER self test routine to initiate.

Are there any smog related codes that would cause this? I wouldn't think so.

IIRC all of my codes were smog related.
