Default Alignment? Camber Kits?

Okay here is my problem....

My car has been pulling to the right. I took it in to get an alignment and was told that it could not be done because the struts were shot.

Changed the struts with a friend.

I took the car to another place to get aligned and was told that they were unable to do it because the "laser is unable to get straight". Either I could "take it to the dealership because they have larger machines to do alignments" and "might need a camber kit".

Does this sound right? I understand I might need a camber kit because my tires are quite "bowed". But can they be so bowed that an alignment is still possible? I just feel like either the alignment can be done or I need to put on a camber kit to get it done.
Can a dealership align a car that has tires bowed that much?

Also, I see so many different types of kits and plates and bolts for Camber Kits. If I do need one, what all do I need? Any website links you guys can put in here would help. I have looked and they all seem to be different and cost anywhere from 19.99-199.99??

Please Help!!!!

Mario

Because these cars are so old that the stock suspension sags like old *******. Maybe with brand new oem suspension parts you can align it with stock plates.

Okay. I guess I am going to have to bite the bullet and buy some of these plates.

I called a Ford Dealership and they said for the Camber Kit installed and everything 159.99.

I don't consider it biting the bullet. These parts are very, very usefull and necessary.

160 bucks for dealer to install plates? Something is not right there. Either a) they are going to install stock plates which suck, b) they are not going to align the car, or c) they are just going to bait you in with that price and then charge more.

A good set...not best...good should be around 200 dollars just for plates. Installation is a breeze and all that is needed is a floor jack. Then get the car aligned afterward for like 50-70 bucks.
