Default inspection help please!

Hi, ive just recently purchased an 89 mustang (with a 306 from a 93 cobra). Ive got to get some catylitic converters installed and also a smog pump. My question is will the smog pump from a 302 fit on a 306? Also, what else is needed besides the actual pump?

well you need the smog pump, bracket, tube that goes to the exhaust, thermactor tube, vac lines new belt. i think thats all..

and a 306 is just a 302 that has had the piston bores bored .030 over during a rebuild

and are you sure its not just the stock 302 on there with a cobra intake and the guy just BS'd the crap out of you?

+1 gt-40 intakes are dime a dozen.

I'm guessing you have an aftermarket midpipe? Even with a catco H-pipe with two high flow cats I got far better emissions results than most new cars.

Now I run an off road X-pipe.. considering reverting to the H-pipe.

How will that help? Fox smog systems are on the back of the cylinder heads and the passenger side of the engine.

You have to have a license to inspect a vehicle. In order to get it you have to go through a short class and take a test. I'm sure they knew what to look for.
