It's kind of difficult to explain unless you're looking at one, but on the rotor surface where the wheel bolts up to is a sqared off edge, and on the wheel it has a slight bevel, so unless you create a matching bevel on the rotor, the wheel won't bolt up squarely creating some pretty serious issues. But like i mentioned before its not that difficult to take some meat off the edge and machine a matching bevel to the wheel, solving the problem. It took about 5 or 10 mins on an old brake lathe to make it work.
So either you could get the kit from Lmr and do a little work, or piece together parts using the sn95 spindles which require no work (from what i can tell, i never went this route). In my opinion the kit is worth it, i like knowing im usuing quality parts and not having to piece parts together. But if you're looking to save some cash, junkyards and craigslist. Hope this helps.

my buddy and i went with sn parts front and rear on my 88 and his 87, found them at the local u pull it yard was $150 for front spindles, front calipers, rear axles, rear calipers and backing plates. then we bought new pads and rotors all the way around, dont remember what that cost. this makes wheel stick out i think a half inch father on each side but it worked for us. this is mine with a 17x 10.5 on the rear

^ What exactly did you have to do to get that 10.5 to fit back there? I have been on the fence about deep dishes(for the rear only) but can't pull the trigger because I can't get a good answer on what exactly to do.

What year was the car you pulled your parts off of?
