Default 4.6L truck starter on fox 5.0

I have been told that a starter off or a 4.6L v8 out of around a 97 f150 will work on a 5.0 fox. Is this true i want to upgrade the starter as i need a new one. I want to possibly get it from the local yard so its not to exspencive.

Nope. The bolt hole patterns aren't the same.

well considering there are many MANY different cars that have a 302 in it..... get a mini starter though instead of the huge boulder of a starter. 91 I believe when it started on the fox but you can find some on other cars as well. I got mine off a Lincoln town car.

correct, 92-93 the mini starter was implemented.

If you go into vato-zone and ask for a OEM starter for a 94-95 mustang, you will be sure to get a "mini" starter, and it will be MUCH cheaper then what this aftermarket company charge.
