Default INFO NEEDED

Ok guys I just wanted to say first off the site is a great source for helping people that are not as experienced with Mustangs. The reason I made this is because I have a problem. My parents are getting my car fixed and I need to know how nice it will be and if a 1997 Explorer v8 intake and heads are really as nice as everyone makes them seem. Im getting a cam, a cold air, upgraded fuel lines, new fuel filter, and also a .373 rearend. Im 17 so i dont need anything to powerful but just tell me about how much of a difference I will be able to feel from stock.

They make for a great budget build. You'll be able to tell, trust me!
(are your fuel lines bad or something?)

What motorman was hinting is.. with thoe upgrades you mentioned the stock fuel system will handle , no problem Spend that money on the tires you burn off.

Again you don't need to upgrade your fuel lines at all. If you don't have one already you need to get a exhuast put on the thing. I don't remember if the 97's had the P heads but if so you need to be sure to get the right headers as well. I don't want to sound like a dick but being 17 you probably need to learn how to drive more before you get into too much power.

sounds to me like the kid needs to drive it stock at forst, and get used to the way the car drives. I was 17 once upon a time... thought i was a good driver too.

i dont have that car anymore....

Yes the Explorer stuff works fine. And yes the GT40P heads from the 97 will require special headers. The 96 has regular GT40 heads.

i have driven the car since i was 15 they just decided to get me the mods bc i did well in wrestling. My mechanic already ordered the headers for the gt40p heads. i am really excited about the build. The only thing that worries me is someone told me that bc it is an automatic it might stall??? The mechanic said that he just has to bump up the idle to like 1200 rmps. I hope yall think this is right

lol, They don't know what they are talking about. Just install them and do a base idle reset if you need to.
