I'm running zr17/40/275 in the rear and ZR17/40/255 in the front.
Without a tubular control arm up front, your tire width will limit the steering rack. You will have to make wider turns when normall making a tighter turn. Either be cautious or install rack limiters. Rim backspacing is a major factor in where the wheels rub and how much they will limit your steering. My rims let me turn the steering wheel over 360 degrees(in one direction). Some people can not turn the steering 360 degrees because of their rims.
You said in your other thread you wanted to drop the car two inches...
You may have front fender clearance issues when turning.
Rear end you may want to somehow adjust the ride height or you may rub the wheel wells. I'm using control arms with adjustable spring perches.

No matter what 9 inch wide rim you have you are going to be hitting the control arm when you try to turn the steering all the way to the lock.
The amount of backspacing merely reduces/increases how much you can turn the wheel and if it will rub the fender lip. My fronts do not rub at all on the fenders, the only contact the control arm if I try to go to the lock, which I never do.
I have no idea what my backspacing is so I cannot tell you how much it will be different.
**edit** I also avoid turning on/off steep driveways or roads. The change in spring height and also the wheel being turned almost guarantees a rub. When the wheel goes up(compresses the spring during those steep grade changes) the wheel will contact the control arm faster than if the car is on level ground.

Don't let anything I said put you off. Like every upgrade there are other things that need to be taken into consideration.
I'm guessing you are on 4 lug wheels? That is reason enough for me to not buy rims...no point in buying wheels when I was going to get rid of them. I waited until I went 5 lug, the only reason I got different rims was necessity.

Although the chances of shearing off lugs are next to nothing(1 in a million maybe) the one extra lug nut provides 20% more shear strength.
More wheel choices like you said.
Much more brake combinations are available and the hub is a different type so the spindles are a different style.

i wish you would stop doing that with tire sizes...
its 275/40/17, and 255/40/17
we dont need to know that they are a Z speed rated tire, or that they are radial....
but for the love of god... PLEASE get the sizes in the right order. I almost slapped someone today at work for this crap!
OP.. try finding some 94-97 cobra wheels. you can run a (17x8) 245/45/17 up front and a 245/45/17, 255/45/17, 275/40/17 in the rear.
and they are actually a GOOD looking stock wheel
