Default Can paint go bad?????????

Quick question, can paint go bad if stored for a long time?

I ask because I can get a helluva steal on some black paint for the notch, problem is that the guys had it sitting in his garage for 2-3 years.

He bought it but then sold his fox before he could paint it leaving it un-opened for a while.

Thanks in advance guys

Its in a garage but its not heated, just sitting there, I live in California and the weather really never goes under 30 degrees.

Does that still mean it freezes?

Well I went to the paint shop today and they said that shelf life is good for about a year, anything after that then the paint may go all bad....

So a no go on the 3 year old paint.

Thanks fivepointohhh
