ok im gonna be doing gears and catback on my 94 soon and was wondering if 2qts of diff fluid was enough? i seem to remember the guys at my dealer using 3 bottles whenever they would have to do differential repairs i know they also used 2 bottles of friction modifier so ill also be ordering another bottle as the kit i ordered came with 2 bottles of royal purple and one bottle of Motorcraft friction modifier

 

iirc i generally use some of a 3rd quart

 

thanks that what i thought i just wasnt positive because it had been awhile since ive seen anyone do a rearend rebuild

 

3 quarts is plenty. When i changed my diff fluid, i just filled it until i couldn't no more

 

I fill it to the fill hole on my diff cover which is about 2.25-2.5 quarts
