I smell fuel, and the car won't start...
I drove my 89 LX Mustang 5.0 for a while today, it drove perfect, I got home checked the mail (so I shut it off for like 2 minutes), and when I got back into it it didn't want to start! When it did briefly start/eventually die, it ran real rough and sounded like it was running on 2 cylinders and smelled of fuel [like it was flooding]. It seems like the longer I let it cool off, it started and ran for a bit longer each time. It has fuel (1/2 tank). My plan is to let it cool down for a few HOURS and try to get it home (like 2 blocks from where it sits). Anyone heard of a 5.0 doing this, and if so what could it be?

Will the codes show up even if the vehicle isn't currently acting up? I don't have one of those machines, but I can definitely go purchase one. Do you just plug it in below the dash and turn it on? I guess it'll come with directions...
