Will this work? electrical question
Ok, so I'm getting ready to pull my car out and start working on it again, starting with some electrical (gauges, msd btm, and uninstall some crap anti-theft from previous owner).
Anyway i want to do it right and relay my own fuse block so I can add more later.Heres what i was thinking:
-take 12v key-on source from convertible top harness (located in center console) to power my relay (30A)
-run fused (30A) #10 line to my a fuse block i buy
-than just run whatever wire and fuse to whatever needs the power
-i was planing on putting this all on a piece of plexiglass and mounting it under the rear seat. My battery will be in the trunk so this seems like a decent half way point to me between source and load.
Now for the questions:
-is 30A adequate?
-would this be on ok spot for the MSD box or is it to far from the ignition system?
-anyone seem any problems?
heres a paint sketch lol:
