This is exactly why I drive like a Grandma!
[[I'll preface this by saying: I'm a slow, law abiding citizen/driver, and always will be...and only get on the throttle very rarely]] I needed to run down to the local Target store this evening, so I decided I'd take the Mustang out for a lil spin. After leaving the store, I was approaching a gradual right turn with a green light and no cars close to me at all. I wanted to accelerate around the corner slightly because after the turn the road started a slight uphill grade (and although I'm a safe/slow driver, it's fun to feel the acceleration a bit every now and then). I was going about 20-25 and was in 2nd gear and the road was dry so I thought nothing about it...well I got into about 3/4 throttle and the *** end came around on me! I tried to counter-steer, but it was too far around on me before I could save it. Mind you, I wasn't going fast, so I just applied the brakes and came to a stop. The front right tire barely touched the curb when I came to a stop. No damage obviously, but how embarrassing! There was like 4 cars at the other light who saw it! I just put it in gear and slowly drove away. This is exactly why I drive like a Grandma!
LESSON I LEARNED TODAY: Never underestimate the lil 5.0, and keep driving like a Grandma (unless I'm at the track).

Be careful in that 5.0, man. I hardly ever get on mine in a turn for this reason.

stkjock.......since when is a thread with such content tech??? even you put it in the wrong section here...the 5.0 section is for tech only probs and the gen disc is for such threads......either way, it is moving again...
