Default exhaust size?

I'm L@@King to change out my mufflers only on my car but i'm not sure what the stock exhaust size is on my mufflers to order the right ones. IS it 2.25 inlet/outlet size or 2.5.....Thanks!

The stock exhaust size is 2.25" but I wouldn't bother just swapping out mufflers, I would get a 2.5" cat back exhaust system, it will make about 25hp over stock and give you a good exhaust sound. I like mac exhaust systems the best, but flowmaster makes a nice exhaust too.
thanks
mike

Maybe he just wants a bit more of a growl.

I'm using MAC catback and I agree it is nice.

25 hp? No f'n way. Maybe 4-5.

full exhaust might give you 25hp, but thats going from 1.5" to 1.615" on the headers...

lol, exhaust doesnt do a WHOLE lot on a stokc 5.0

Tho i agree that if you are going to go through all the effort of doing mufflers, u might as well do a cat back! Nice new shinny pipes!

Cool

i agree id go for a catback. it may not be cheaper but it will look alot better since it comes with all new piping from the midpipe back including nice shiny 3.5in(varies by brand) tips and is all bolt in no welding(welds are rust magnets).

i just put an SLP LM1 on my 94 and it sounds AMAZING but it is probably the loudest exhaust you will find without going straight pipe so if the cops in your area are dicks or you dont want a super loud exhaust id recommend something like the Flowmaster American Thunder Catback, as you will be quieter than the SLP but still have a great sound
