Default H/C/I question

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-3887/
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-77189/

I have a 331 stroked 5.4(from 5.0 block), SRP flat top pistons.

Will the victor efi intake and victor jr heads be a good Head/intake for the 331?

I have an x303 cam (dont give me the ****, I KNOW its bad, I DIDNT BUY IT OR put it in)

And would that cam be usable? If I do use it, right now there is stock heads on my 331 and an explorer intake, would the victor jr heads bolt right on? Yes, I will do the clay check method, but Anyone think i will run into big problems with clearence? Do the pistons have to be cut more??

NO THAT CAM REALLY WOULDN'T be useable to elevate the 331 to it's fullest potential and take advantage of the victor parts, but yes on the victor parts

why wouldnt it be usable? Is the duration, lift ect too high/low?

(the only answer I have ever seen is that its a junk ford cam, but why?)

And what about trick flow high port 190cc heads with trick flow R intake? and stage 2 cam
Will these 3 things work with SRP pistons? Or do you need trick flow pistons?

and waht about this cam?
comp cams xe282hr

the reason why is linked to the cam timing and event timing. You need a cam that is tailored to what parts YOU have, and how YOU want it to run...

not how some guy 20 years ago said "eh, this looks good" and slapped a label on it..

you want power, get a custom cam

ok thank you, with that reply, i decided to just go with my origonal plans...

Get around 3000 dollars and talk to Jay allen at camshaft innoations...

Before that though, I want to make sure I have a 331 bottom end.

How would I do this? (Take of the intake, fuel rails, ect, then take off the heads, and I could check the pistons? To make sure there after market? Then I would do what? take the pistons out and measure the crank?

Would I have to take the cam out to check? If so that messes with timing ect doesnt it

I would leave all that crap on there and see if I couldn't figure out by taking off the oil pan.

Well, you know what you were told was put in the motor. If you tear it apart and see a ford crank in there, you will know something is wrong. I would think someone could figure out .25 of an inch by using a dial caliper without taking the crank out.

You can see if the crank has Ford stamped on it, the rods and the bottom of the piston.
