Same here. I do once a year oil changes on my DD, I never need to top it up in that span and it's always a slightly dark amber colour when I drain it. I use it in the stang as well and have been very happy with the results. Mobil 1 is a great synthetic oil.

Yeah man, it's pretty safe to say all full synthetics will work well. Most of it is brand loyalty in the end. I like the extended interval part of it, changing the oil once a year works for me. I only put about 5000 miles on my DD per year as I live close to work and Mobil 1 has served me well in all of my cars over the years.

I agree with the others here. Any of the synthetic brands will work. Working in the oil labs shipboard (in past) I got to run tests on various lubricants and fuels for all of our equipment. Can't go wrong with running synthetics. I've always run Mobile 1 just sticking to same brand.

thanks guys for all the responces ..
i only put about 3000 miles a year on the car so i change the oil once every 6 months ..
i recently saw the new mobil1 extended life supposedly guaranteed up to 15000 miles ... is the one you guys use ...are they Serious about 15000 thats insane id never leave oil in my car for 15000 miles lol

also i know its not usually good to from regular to synthetic and so far i havent read anything negative about switching between synthetics .Any one ever heard of any disadvantages to this ..

id hate to switch just based on other peoples horror stories lol as i said ive never had a problem with royal purple but i figure if the people at mobil have the ***** to guarantee 15000 miles it must be some good stuff lol

Look up my post about the "AMSOil experience" to get my take on the situation...you'll find it interesting.
