Interesting name. The stock cam is all you need if you still have stock heads. You will not see much if any performance gain with a cam swap.

I thought it was you at first rag! lol

Just a cam swap for performance is pointless. Most people don't know any better and swap a cam that sounds good and think that it will get them more HP

Haha, so did I. "When did I post this?"

Glad there is another '83 GT Vert on the site. There are much less than the 1001 originally produced still on the road.

it is true about swapping heads first, u can swap a camshaft first too though, if you want sound and just gonna use the stock heads. the stock e7 flow a whopping 151cfm at just under a .500 lift. if you can get somthing around that lift with a little more duration you can acheive a bit more power, granted you upgrade ur exaust ( headers aftermarket pipe and mufflers) which i think it the first thing i always do before the engine mods. after that if you do the cam and stock heads might consider feeding the cam with an intake, anything over stock but stay around an idle too 5500 intake band.

if and only if you are gonna do more than that like hci or more cubes etc, then you want to consider a wide range of things!! that can be explained later if you decide too.

keep in mind to each his own, its ur money and ur decision!!

good luck with your choices!

Get the heads first. The cam should be the last thing you get because the cam should designed around the parts you have.
